The member parents own Cordova Bay Co-op Preschool. Parent participation means parents are encouraged to become involved in the administration of the preschool by contributing ideas and helping with specific tasks. Ongoing input and suggestions are both encouraged and welcomed.
Due to Covid-19, the Parent Education and Duty Parent components of our preschool are suspended for the start of the 2020/2021 school year. We are looking forward to returning to these programs as soon as it is safe to do so.
There is a monthly General Meeting held on the first Wednesday of each month. The President chairs this portion when members of the Executive report on their area of responsibility. All members are given an agenda and are invited to join in the discussion, voting and decision making.
With direction from the Fundraising Chair, the entire membership participates in fundraising activities throughout the year. These activities are fun and an opportunity to work together for the benefit of our children. Suggestions for and help with the events is always appreciated. By the sharing the workload, we can share in the spirit of cooperation.
In addition to the weekly cleaning of the preschool, there are three big cleans each year. One in December, the second in March before spring break and the third is at the end of the school year in June. Each family is responsible for sending someone to help clean.
